The prime age to develop as an athlete is 13-19. The more sports you play the more versatile of an athlete you are. Only 1% of student athletes will play college Football, or Basketball. So now with rugby on the rise and another Olympic year upon us, college scholarships will continue to expand in the growth of rugby.
Marian University (Indianapolis, IN- USA) launched a full varsity rugby program with over $1 million budget that includes $800k for rugby scholarships and $200k for operating expenses including paid coaches and travel.
