Boys Tornados Rugby Academy
The Tornados Rugby Academy will host a series of skills camps, combines, and player identification camps with the dual goal of improving overall rugby skill and team selection.
The Tornados Academy will then announce rosters and conduct practices in order to participate in two select side tournaments in June.
While Rugby Illinois provides Tornados with some initial funding, we still have some costs to cover, below you will find a breakdown of cost to participate.
We are committed to working to find ways for those with financial instability or demonstrated need to be able to afford the costs and still be able to play. Please reach out to Kyle with any questions.

Tornados Rugby Academy 2025/26 Details
Skills Camps (Fall 2025)
The Tornado’s program has kicked off our 1st Fall season and we’re excited to give our kids an experience to play against our northern neighbors, Wisconsin!
Details for Fall practices for High School boys is below:
– When: Wednesday & Sunday nights (6:00 – 8:30pm)
– Where: Chicago Blaze RFC Facility
– Registration: All players must be registered with their local club as well as “Rugby Illinois Tornados” via Rugby Xplorer in order to participate. No Exceptions.
Our Fall season will include 2 matches against Wisconsin:
– Away: Sat, Oct 25th @ 1:00pm CT (Barney Williams Park – 1100 Valley Ln, Howard, WI)
– Home: Sat, Nov 8th @ 1:00pm CT (Chicago Blaze RFC Facility )
Players ages 15–19 are welcome to participate.
All Rugby Illinois coaches are welcome to come out and see what we’re doing.
